Amalie Ofverlind has worked both as an intern and a student assistant at DS Stålkonstruktion and, after completing her studies, has been employed as an engineer.
As an intern at DS Stålkonstruktion, I was attached to various projects so that I could try as much as possible during the 20 weeks I was here. Already early in the internship, I had contact with customers, where I got to do real project management work.
As a student, it was satisfying and motivating to use my knowledge in the real world – to feel that I made a difference, and that the work I carried out turned into actual buildings.
Part of the team
I very quickly felt like part of the team. Even though they knew it was limited how much I could manage to give back during the 20 weeks I was here, I never felt left behind, and they engaged in both my education and in who I am personally.
At DS Stålkonstruktion, the various departments are not far apart – the doors are always open. Very few questions are considered stupid questions.
