Aya Zannoun completed an internship as a structural engineer at DS Stålkonstruktion
Alongside her studies, Aya was also employed as a student assistant in the Roof Truss Sales Sweden department, where she was subsequently taken on as a permanent engineer after graduating in 2025.
My internship at DS Stålkonstruktion was a really good experience. I got the opportunity to manage my own projects, talk with customers and follow some of my projects from start to finish. It was lovely to be able to contribute to the real world and actually see results in what you did.
I think it has been an exciting and instructive period for me, where I have gained a lot of new knowledge that I can use in the future.
Effective learning process
From day one, I felt welcome because I was so well received by the team. They were always ready to guide me, no matter how many questions I had. This has of course helped make my learning process much more effective.
I also think it has been easy to get to know each other across the departments, when you just met each other in the canteen at lunch.
