Johny was an intern as a building constructor and experienced a great deal of trust
After completing his education, Johny Visborg was permanently employed by DS Flexhal in August 2019 as a building constructor and architect.
I studied to become a building constructor with a focus on design/engineering in Holstebro, so the internship posting from DS Flexhal hadn’t reached us at all. I heard about the opportunity from an external lecturer from Aarhus. I thought it sounded exciting, and that was good, because I felt welcome already at the interview.
Many opportunities
Here there was the opportunity both to be in the drawing office as a designer and to come along to see the buildings I had helped design. At the same time, DS Flexhal has everything in-house, so I gained insight into everything from sales to handover of the construction. There were many new things to be learned. Reality isn’t quite like at school, after all. But there was time for it, and there was always someone to help and answer all the “stupid” questions you have as an intern.

Even though I was “only” an intern, there was confidence that I could manage my tasks, and therefore I was given a great deal of responsibility fairly quickly.
