Mads Asger Cordt Enggaard completed an internship as a building designer at DS Flexhal
Alongside his studies, Mads was employed as a student assistant at DS Flexhal. When he completed his engineering degree in 2025, he was hired as an assistant project manager.
I did my internship at DS Flexhal for half a year while I completed the last semester of my education at Aalborg University before my thesis. After my internship, I was employed as a part-time student assistant at DS Flexhal.
Throughout my time as an intern, I have been attached to several different construction projects. In the beginning, I was attached to two retail tenancies in Hobro and the Hadsund halls in Hadsund, after which I have been attached to the FEAS construction project in Lisbjerg.
The responsibility you are ready for
I experienced that I was given the responsibility I was ready to take, and since I was eager, I could quickly get to try standing on my own feet and handling some tasks without being looked over the shoulder the whole time. If there were tasks where I needed help, the colleagues were good at jumping in and made a point of saying that “there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers.” This made me feel heard and never left behind.
A strong sense of community
The social side is also an important part of DS Flexhal. I feel that I got more out of my internship by participating in the social events, such as the summer closing party. Here you get to know your colleagues in a completely different way, so it’s not always all about work.
