Max Rosenbak Laursen did his work placement as a building constructor at DS Flexhal
Today, Max works as a tender manager at DS Flexhal; he was first employed as a student assistant and later permanently employed as an estimator in the tender department in 2021.
After a chat with DS Flexhal at an internship matchmaking event at the school, there wasn’t much doubt left about the choice of work placement.
DS Flexhal is both an adviser and a contractor
DS Flexhal was presented as the company that had it all “in-house,” and where everything from the first meeting with the developer to the finished building was possible. This combination is unfortunately one of the overlooked ones in the stories told during the studies. Here, the myth that you are either an adviser or a contractor is often told as rigid boxes that cannot be mixed. But through my internship, I have learned that DS Flexhal can do this and masters it to perfection.
Have gained both responsibility and a unique insight
Through my internship, I have worked with tender calculation, sketched and analysed projects, gained insight into building systems, experienced the execution phase on the construction sites and, all in all, gained both responsibility and a unique insight into what it means to be a building constructor.
