Mikkel Roskjær Bogner completed an internship as a structural engineer at DS Elcobyg
After completing his education, Mikkel was employed in August 2022 as a structural engineer in the design office at DS Elcobyg.
I studied a master’s in construction management at Aalborg University, where in my 3rd semester I got the opportunity to work with a company through a project-oriented internship at DS Elcobyg.
I was given my own projects
Along the way, I sat among other things as an engineer and made calculations on my own projects, where I also made sure to handle subcontractors and manage the internal communication with the production. The contact with the production in particular was a unique insight that allowed me to translate theory into practical solutions.
Cycling trips and bowling
In addition to the professional side, I also relatively quickly became part of the social life, where, among other things, I took part in various cycling trips and bowling events.

As an intern at our design office, you get the opportunity to test your skills in the real world. Depending on your field of study, you will become acquainted with making production drawings, dimensioning concrete elements and calculating reinforcement, etc. You will be assigned your own project and, with a colleague backing you up, you will get to manage all processes in close collaboration with our customers or their advisers and our own production.
