Excellent visit from FUT: “We love showing what we are passionate about every day.”

On 25 February, we opened the doors to DS Stålprofil’s production facility in Hobro and welcomed FUT, the Association for Timber and Builders’ Merchant Professionals. The programme included a tour of the production facility, presentations on sustainability and future solutions, and, of course, coffee and lunch.

How is raw steel transformed into strong profiles that shape roofs and façades across the country? FUT’s members gained a unique insight into this process when DS Stålprofil’s employees guided them through the production operations behind the large steel façades in Hobro.

“We love talking about what we do. So, when FUT contacted us, we seized the opportunity to show other timber and builders’ merchant professionals what we are passionate about in our day-to-day work,” says Claus Bach Roed, Sales Manager at DS Stålprofil.

Remaining competitive in the future

During the visit, we took the participants through steel’s journey – from raw material to finished product. Hopefully, FUT’s members went home with fresh inspiration for how steel solutions can be used in modern construction.

Development and new technology are key priorities at DS Stålprofil.

“We hope FUT’s members found the presentation interesting. One thing I think may be surprising is how we are moving into a more technological world with an automated sheet metal warehouse and a cutting and bending centre. This is a development we will see much more of if we are to remain competitive in the future,” says Claus.
